The Bothy - Inverclyde's home of walking and cycling, at Gourock station.

NCN75 runs along the footway of Lower Kempock Street, passing a car park exit and a bus stop layby along the way.

A choice of shared-use steps or shared-use pathway on the seafront at Gourock, plus some cycle parking.

I'm not sure the sign for Newark Castle is strictly necessary!

"End of Cycle Route 500 yards" - not so much end of route as path gets narrower and bumpier.

Cycle parking stands at Lunderston Bay. All the signs on this section of route say NCN 75 rather than 753.

The cycleway is interrupted by a tree, so cyclists have to cross the gutter to get around.

A shared-use footway, but where does it end? UPDATE 2017: There is now an "End of Cycle Route" on the back of the round sign.

The road through the housing estate has a shared-use footway on one side.
